As President and Clinical Director of Real Life Prosthetics™, Jonas has always had a driving passion for creating, one-of-a-kind, custom devices, for all levels of amputation and disability that began in 1992 when entering the field as an O&P technician for Reid Prosthetics in Miami, FL. With his strong technical foundation and expanding clinical proficiency, Jonas incorporates many techniques into designing a vast array of systems for those facing limb loss and disability. Some of his most notable patients and accomplishments are working with Paralympic Gold Medalist and World Record Holder, Jessica Long and designing Transfemoral/Transtibial prostheses for a combat-injured Marine who ran across the United States of America! Whether designing custom liner interfaces for traumatic amputations using CAD technology, creating high-definition alloplastic restorations through 3-D printing and rapid prototyping, or sculpting by hand, the goal of restoring one’s ability to lead an active and independent lifestyle remains unchanged.
Jonas has an extensive history as a clinical educator, which includes teaching courses on behalf of the APTA, media appearances, published articles, and contributions to research and development within the industry. He is also involved with charitable prosthetic outreach and local non-profit organizations as founding member of The Amputee Network, LLC, Life & Limb Ministries, Inc., and attends EPIC Community Church.
