As President and Clinical Director of Real Life Prosthetics™, Jonas has always had a driving passion for creating, one-of-a-kind, custom devices, for all levels of amputation and disability that began in 1992 when entering the field as an O&P technician for Reid Prosthetics in Miami, FL. With his strong technical foundation and expanding clinical proficiency, Jonas incorporates many techniques into designing a vast array of systems for those facing limb loss and disability. Some of his most notable patients and accomplishments are working with Paralympic Gold Medalist and World Record Holder, Jessica Long and designing Transfemoral/Transtibial prostheses for a combat-injured Marine who ran across the United States of America! Whether designing custom liner interfaces using CAD technology, providing custom high-definition alloplastic restorations, or working with bionic upper & lower extremity prostheses, his passion for restoring ability to those facing limb loss remains unchanged.
In 2019, Jonas was accepted as a Fellow of the Academy (FAAOP) from the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. As an Academy Fellow, Jonas is part of an elite group of O&P practitioners. Only a small percentage of ABC-Certified Practitioners have shown the dedication necessary to become a Fellow.
